Where do I report an unmaintained property?

If you notice tall grass or weeds, garbage, abandoned vehicles, etc., please contact the Borough Office (570-966-1013) and we will investigate the issue and forward to the appropriate enforcement agency.

I plan to build a new building or a building addition, where do I start?

New construction and many renovations require a building permit and a zoning permit

Where can I obtain a copy of the Zoning Ordinance?

Mifflinburg’s Zoning Ordinance is available in the online code or a copy can be requested from the Open Records Officer using the Right to Know Form.

I own a rental property in Mifflinburg. Are there any permits required?

The Borough of Mifflinburg has a rental property licensing program. As the property owner, you are required to register your rental property and have inspections made to ensure compliance with the property maintenance code.
